Intimate Bach: A 325th Birthday Bash

PMR celebrates the vast range of expression and architecture of J.S. Bach’s music on his birthday with a selection of some of his greatest solo works

Viennese Matinee

With Eva Mengelkoch, fortepiano

The PMR Classical Quartet performs masterpieces by Haydn along with rarely heard music of the unfairly maligned Antonio Salieri. Fortepianist Eva Mengelkoch joins in for a stunning Mozart concerto.

Poe and the Diabolical Baroque

PMR salutes Baltimore’s Edgar Allan Poe in his 200th anniversary year. Jonathan Palevsky gives a dramatic reading of The Cask of Amontillado, accompanied by baroque and new music adapted by Allen Whear.

SuperBach Sunday: Brandenburgs and Beyond

A special collaboration with Philadelphia's Tempesta di Mare, Gwyn Roberts and Richard Stone, Artistic Directors

Bach: Brandenburg Concertos no. 2, BWV 1047 and no. 3, BWV 1048; Vivaldi: Concerto for 2 violins and 2 cellos.  Concerto "Tempesta di Mare" for flute and oboe; Heinichin: Concerto Grosso in D; Pisendel: Concerto "da chiesa" in G Minor.  Soloists include John Thiessen, baroque trumpet; Gwyn Roberts, recorder; Stephen Bard, oboe; Emlyn Ngai and Cynthia Roberts, violin.
